Sputtering

The principle of diode sputtering shows two electrodes which are supplied by a high voltage power supply. At a gas inlet of argon a plasma is generated and from the negatively charged electrode (target) material is deposited by Ar-ion bombardment (sputtering). Deposited material is collected by 
the substrates (coating).
